pref night chance of getting in

The rules for pref night are the rules for all sororities. If you make it to pref night, AND YOU LIST/RANK BOTH SORORITIES ON YOUR CARD, you WILL get a bid from one of them, guaranteed. Whether or not you'll get your top choice depends on where the sorority ranks you in their bid list. Also, if you only went back to 1 house for pref and list it, you are guaranteed a bid there.

If you suicide bid (aka list only one of your two Pref houses), the system will PUNISH you and you are likely to get cut entirely. Do not suicide even if you hate your #2 house, because it will screw over your chances with your #1.

That’s just wrong. If you suicide you will have same chance as if you ranked it first and the other second. It just depends on whether the house fills its quota by the time it gets down its list to your name. Eg everyone who put them 1st is matched before anyone who put them second.
