It's time to move on. If you really want sisterhood, try for COB. But if every house cut you ESPECIALLY when there is a brand new sorority, then you need to know there's a slim chance you'd make it a second time. Think back: did you have at least 2 recs for every house? Hw are your grades? Test scores? Resume? Do you know any actives? Is your social media clean? Were you polished and a good conversationalist during rush? Did you bash any groups to anyone during rush? Because let me tell you, I saw you go back and respond to another post when you got cut that you were better than the sorority girls. Sio if that attitude carried over into real life AT ALL, then we found out about it and you screwed yourself out of a house. My guess is you were unprepared for rush and felt you deserved a spot.

I did everything right. You all just did everything wrong and you all only like to pick New Orleans girls. Still have not answered my question about how many got cut. Must have been a lot if tgere sorority girls are not responding.

so do grades have a huge effect because I feel like that is what went wrong for me. What's the gpa that you should have to not be considered a grade risk?

@. - almost everyone will say above a 3.0, but that's just a guideline. My chapter really thinks anything under a 3.3 is questionable. The only way that slips by is if ACT is great. But if someone has a 3.1 and a 22 ACT...they will PROBABLY get lower than a 3.0 in college. We want better than that, so we recruit girls who showed in high school that they will PROBABLY do well in college.

To @Red: that was not very nice. Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can never hurt me. Hope you don't treat your sisters like that. Like I stated, I am better than sorority girls. Plus, Goodwill has sorority shirts, so I can just pick out one and be in any group(s) I want.

Your mentality may be what got you cut. There's more to being Greek than wearing tshirts. And if that's all you want from it then you are definitely doing it wrong.

No one answered to red. So this is a new name bc my hair is now light brown and my milkshake brings all the boys to the yard. See what y'all missed in not choosing me?

There are maybe 5 New Orleans girls in my whole sorority. You clearly didn't do everything right if you went bidless. I mean I'll be honest here, this isn't a huge SEC school...it isn't THAT hard to get a bid somewhere. If you're crazy enough to wear sorority shirts, someone probably knew and told us to cut you. And FYI, just because you had recs doesn't mean they were positive. An alum probably saw these issues with you and wrote a "no rec." You are better than no one. You are not entitled to a spot in a sorority. You have to earn it. Bye.

Hi Girl! What sorority are you in? I am sure there are more Nola girls than you stated. Any northshore girls? Found a Chi O one with a cute little owl on it at Hudson's. I don't have to buy my friends either.

If you are having all these negative statements to say about sororities on campus, then maybe greek life isn't for you in the first place. If you feel that you are "buying friends" by being in a sorority, then why do you want to be in one so badly? Greek life is cool. Non-Greek life is cool too. Life goes on. After college no one cares about what sorority you were in. College is about making memories and friendships, whether you are Greek or not.

There are other ways to get involved with campus life other than being Greek. Get involved with numerous clubs and civic organizations at Southern Miss. Make new friends, network with new people. Get to know other Greeks. Do charity work. Keep your grades up. Then try recruitment next year. But please don't do anymore sorority bashing. If there is any hope for you to join a sorority next year, then please don't wear random Greek shirts from Goodwill all around campus. You will be outed and there will be no hope for you next year. Best of luck!

Wore my Chi O shirt to the game tonight and no one noticed. See you can be a Greek without REALLY being a Greek. You people are not so smart.

We are actually being nice and offering advice, but I'm not going to sugar coat something because you're being rude to us. Based on everything you've put on this site, I'm telling you you got yourself cut. If you turn around and bash greek life...then I Don't want you to rerush. Simple.

Going to re-rush and y'all are going to LOVE me. Especially ChiO I already wear their letters even if I an not official yet

Well, USM is lame anyway, especially Greek life. I am thinking of transferring to LSU in the Spring. It would be easy breezy to get a bid there, especially if you are me bc I am awesome and everyone would like to have a girl like me in their chapter. Go Tigers.

By: Red

I highly doubt you are awesome.. Nor would you get a bid at LSU. Sorry I'm not sorry but you're just plain mean.

You must be a pretty ditzy dodo ritzy girl if you think LSU would not choose me. They obviously have better taste than you since you cut me. For AXO to cut me when they are new is ridiculous. XO will see me on campus there wearing my shirt and ask me to affiliate and you all will say why on earth did we let that classy, cute, Bermuda short, Tom wearing northshore girl get away. Tiger Bake!!

By: Red
by: ....

just because AXO is new, doesn't mean they have to take people they don't want in their sorority... it's called selection for a reason.

Yeah I'm calling your bluff at Bermuda shorts. Just please stop. I'm not sure why you are finding any sort of satisfaction but degrading others and trying to make yourself look dumb. FYI: your attitude won't take you too far in life. You should really reevaluate yourself before you hurt somebody.

How could you call my bluff by me stating that I wore Bermuda shorts? There is no bluff to call. Yes, I wore longer shorts to one of the few parties that I was invited back to. Hurt somebody because I am confident??? Just don't get you all at all. Oh, and no apologies here--my Tom's are comfortable. Don't judge.

They could,d not fully explain what their sisterhood was about and I grilled them about it. They were clearly intimidated by me.,
