Hypothetical situation here: if someone only got invited back to one skit party, and then gets invited back to that pref party, are they automatically on that sorority bid list? Purely hypothetical situation here. Please answer.

What skit did yOU go to? Do you really want them? Last year there was snap bids handed out- so if you don't love them, don't pledge them. You may get what you want after all.

I was always told that if you are invited to pref, you are on the list. But then the girls rank you. They could rank you at the top of the list, or at the bottom of the list. But I am thinking you do get a bid. Anyone else have experience with this?

if you have a legacy and go to pref you automatically get a bid. That's the only for sure. Sorry. :(

I didn't go through rush this year, and I'm not in a sorority, but I'm just curious. Did everyone get alpha chi back or were they really selective? Did they do well for their first recruitment?

I didn't have them at the top of my list and the conversations were dull during rush, yet I made it all the way through to pref last night, pretty sure I'm getting a bid from them today too

Did you maximize your options all week, meaning that when you ranked at night, you listed every single house on your card that you went to that particular day? If you did that, and you made it through pref, it is to my knowledge that you should've been guaranteed a bid. But ONLY if you maximized your options ALL WEEK.

And by the way - different organizations have different rules pertaining legacies. Not every org requires chapters to put all legacies at the top of the bid list if they go to pref at their legacy house. Some orgs do this, some do not.
