sorority comments

People need to calm down...the amount of negative comments on these pages, especially Chi O's page, is out of hand. Isn't the greek community supposed to be supportive and promote unity??? Every sorority is going to have a few girls that aren't the nicest or aren't the prettiest or aren't the classiest. It is the way it works and everyone has an off day. Don't judge an entire sorority from the one or two girls you may have met one day. Plus, there are many girls out there they may come off as snobby or mean if you don't know them, but as soon as you get to know them they are the most amazing people you have ever met! So try to promote Greek life rather than rip every other sorority apart!

Why in the world would I WANT to try and get to know someone who is rude & snobby to me when I first meet them? Ever heard the phrase "First impressions are everything"? Yeah? Well, it's true. That's why every girl in a sorority is the face of her chapter to the rest of the world. The rest of the world will judge you by the company you keep. Is that right? Good? Fair? Decent? Doesn't matter. It's gonna happen anyway.

Oh, and I WILL judge you for being tacky.

Maybe the summer will give everyone on here a chance to grow up. This site is ridiculous. Greek life is supposed to be united not seperated and we wonder why people talk so badly about greeks...just take a look. No chapter on this campus is perfect but I can name a list of great things each one brings to the table. I think instead of bashing another chapter everyone should work on their own. It would get a lot more done.Because honestly making another chapter look bad doesn't make yours look any better.

This is out of hand. Every bad comment that a person post on a chapters page just makes the whole system look like a joke. You girls need to grow up. No one cares about a chapters rank is on a website where a person could just spam and make anyone number one. Any potentials on here should not judge a chapter based off what someone who has to much time on their hand and is childish has to say. Grow up and focus on you actual chapter and not this website.

If you look at GPA, that's just about exactly how the sororities at USM rank...maybe give or take 1 spot up or down here & there.

Everyone on campus knows that grades are the most clear indicator of a sorority's recruitment and retention capabilities. That's why the sororities on the bottom of the GPA rank tend to stay on the bottom = they are not changing their methods and therefore will continue to have recruitment & retention issues, which in turn lead to GPA issues. It's cyclical. When will these groups learn?

I have friends in every chapter. I can say bad things about them all, but I can also say AWESOME things about them all. Including our own. This website has gotten out of control. I hope that encouraging words like this will inspire you to post similar things, and maybe even something nice on every sorority including yours! Lets put an end to this bashing. If you don't like bad things said about you then don't say anything bad about anyone else.

I want to say that I am in a high ranking sorority. So this isn't me being catty. I just want to say that the comments on here to have some truth while some are so false. But what I LOVE about greek life at USM is how each and every one of the sororities on campus is fantastic. There is no weak link. YOU just have to find where YOU fit in. :)
