Seton Hall University - SHU 1.0 This is an embarrassment and you should be embarrassed that you actually wrote reviews about Greek life at a school you ONCE attended. Grow up. Nobody cares you peaked at a private catholic school.

Seton Hall University - SHU 2.0 Greek life at the Hall ok, but not great, as it was years ago. All the original good fraternities, with the exception of 2 are gone and the remaining fraternities are not even worth joining. Besides it's a private school which means there limits as to what Geeeks can and cannot do. If you are looking for a real Greek Life experience, transfer to the schools in either the Big Ten or SEC conference. Greek life at the Hall is just medicore at best.

Seton Hall University - SHU 3.0 I'll just go down the list: Greek population - (estimated) 25% of all undergrads which is around 6,000 and growing every year with the addition of a new fraternity and sorority this past semester and several others were added in previous years. (SHU is comprised of a lot of commuters, which does not help this) Fraternity/Soror ity Housing - Official fraternity or sorority houses do not exist on campus or in South Orange. Members of fraternities and sororities have unofficial houses where they host, so don't expect anything like a state school or a chapter house in South Orange. Greek involvement is great. There is always some event, tabling or people around. Specifically there is the Greek block party for the freshmen to get introduced to the greek life on campus and in the spring is Greek Week which pairs and splits the fraternities and sororities on campus to compete in games and challenges. Social Scene all comes down to your Org. If you aren't in one, parties are usually closed off or guys pay $5-10. Closed parties and mixers can be really fun. Dages/Darties are also very common when the weather permits. Attractivenes s - mixed bag, everyone is different. Hot people in greek life and hot people not in greek life. Gender ratio - the organizations are not all up to date on this site, but the sorority chapters have more members than most of the fraternities by a wide margin. Greek hazing - I cannot speak for every org, only from what I have heard/witnessed and some orgs are worse than other. During my process I was not hazed. I do not haze any new members, but I cannot speak on behalf of every org. Greek Selection Difficulty - it is competitive, but you will find a fit. Sorority selection is brutal, I've seen girls go out all 4 of my years here and be disappointed with the sororities that extend a bid to them. For fraternities, it works a bit different. You go to the frats, do interviews, make a good impression, and the chapter will vote on you and you need to get a sizable amount of them to vote in favor of you to extend the bid. I have also seen guys try for 4 years and be disappointed. Better to join in earlier if you have the chance in my opinion, they like to recruit the younger bunch.

Seton Hall University - SHU 2.0 Life at the Hall is a joke. No Houses, social scene is average or below, Rush is a hit or miss every year and the Greek Leadership is poor. Not worth joining.

Seton Hall University - SHU 3.5 greek life here is pretty decent here. There are no designated frat houses with letters and everything because south orange blows. There are mostly satellite houses scattered throughout the town. the frats r cool and the sororities are decent. Greek life is definitely growing though, don't sleep on SHU
