sorority recruitment

Do people usually get a bid from their first choice? I am a sophomore with a 3.6 gpa,. I am really excited for rush, but I'm so nervous that being older will put me at a disadvantage. I've heard horror stories about people from other schools not geting a bid from the sorority they really wanted, but i didn't know if that really happened here at SEMO. Thanks!

Do not be nervous about being a sophomore going through rush, chapters at semo are much more accepting of older pnms than at other schools with larger and more competitive chapters. You have a great gpa so definitely nothing to worry about. good luck!

There is a quota system that allows the sororities to take x number of freshman and x number of upper class men. You are at no disadvantage.
