Bottom line is that Alpha Xi is the sorority that is #1 for women at SEMO. It is competitive to get in because people know that they would be affiliating with the sorority that has the most attractive girls on campus, consistently rank among the highest in grades, and with well-stacked resumes of campus clubs, sports, and activities. I see some not-so-nice comments on here and am surprised that some of them are flat-out lies. You will find amazing girls in every sorority on campus, but at the end of the day Alpha Xi is top of the food chain. Yes they have issues, like all large groups, which will draw criticism from people who want to bring them down. But this sorority is the real deal. You don't get to be the most coveted bid for nothing.....

Seen really nice girls turn into completely different people just because of the letters on their chest. It's a shame that they thought a sorority suddenly put them above everyone else.

As a shy freshman, not many sorority girls talked to me at the Move In Bash and the Ice Cream Social. Alpha Chi Omegas were the only girls to come up to me. Honestly the nicest girls I've met so far. Other sororities give dirty looks or completely ignore people they don't know. Alpha Chi girls smile and say hi. Honestly can't wait to go through recruitment, I want to be an Alpha Chi!!!!!!

This is such a genuine chapter fun of REAL women who are very passionate about their sisterhood and philanthropy. They are the wifey-material, take home to mom, type of girls who also know how to have a fun time.
