University of Wisconsin, La Crosse - UWLC Greek Life Reviews

If you’re looking for a stereotypical Greek life experience... UWL is not the place to be. Partying is not a thing for the Greek community, you just go party like any other college kid which is still going hard in Wisconsin but nothing special. Saying the word “Hazing” might get you kicked off campus and there’s only one chapter that’s allowed to have a house (Delta Sig). Philanthropy and community involvement is pretty high actually and obviously you need that aspect to be boomin also, but as far as the social chapters go, they aren’t too “social”. If you’re resume chasing, UWL Greek life is prime for getting your name out there in the community for doing good things.

Not a huge presence on campus. Many new fraternities so we might see some of the smaller ones die off in the next few years.

Greek life at UWL does not have houses so dues are less expensive which is really nice. It was an amazing experience being in greek life. Hazing is not tolerated, so no one should worry about that. UWL greek life values many things, but academics are held high here. Looking closer at each sorority, there are three, all three are special in their own ways. It is pretty clear which sorority is "top" when looking at statistics and how many girls want to rush each one but all three are wonderful. The fraternities, there are five, are also all unique and special. Also obvious which one/two are top on campus due to the number of members. So rush can be slightly competitive, but I would recommend rushing for sure. I can't imagine my life without my sisters.
