late recruitment

So I couldn't join a fraternity because I just didn't have the money. By the next month or 2 I should have enough to pay dues. The only house that recruits year round is SAE. Should I join them? From what I hear they're really chill guys and are just overshadowed by the bigger houses, out of the smaller houses I hear they have the most promise with their group of guys.. And they actually have a house unlike other fraternity's. Any input on this?

SAE is a great house. however, so is every fraternity at San Jose State. That being said, i would recommended wait until fall to find the house that you want to join. You truly need to find the house that reflects your own morals values and not just go with availability of a house to recruit. you will end up not liking the brotherhood and become a nonproductive member if you join a house purely on availability. However, if you really like SAE then go for it.
