greek life at sjsu?

I’m at UCSB right now but I’m strongly considering transferring to SJSU to major in aviation. What’s Greek life like there though? Would a junior transfer have a chance at top houses, or is it a freshmen-only thing? What’s the party scene like?

Not sure if you're looking into a sorority or fraternity. But to answer your question, Juniors do fine in rush here. You could get a top house, or whatever house you fit in with.
This is a fun school, but it's very different than UCSB. If you're looking for a replica, you'll be very disappointed.

mostly all frats take transfers. greek life has been struggling this year cause it seems like 99% of the frats are in trouble so no one can throw big parties, mostly lowkey kickbacks

Transfer students do fine. You will have no problem in a sorority or fraternity as a transfer. We have fun here , but this isn't like Goleta.

First I'd like to say that greek life here is great, but in the past year its taken some major hits. To answer your question yes, Juniors can rush and houses will bid them.
