by: Transfergirl22

Hi! I might be transferring in the fall and I really want to rush! Is it worth it to do it sophomore year, I’ve just heard it’s a lot harder to do so? Hope I can get some advice!

Definitely go through fall recruitment so you get to see all the houses and learn about each house. The recruitment process is so much fun! You get to meet so many new girls! Honestly, rushing as a sophomore isn’t a bad thing. There are plenty of people, freshman- seniors, who go through fall recruitment and there chances are just as good as getting into a house as a freshman. What may be “harder” is that as a sophomore transfer student you have to have a higher GPA minimum than a freshman out of high school. Also, fall recruitment is a lot more intense than spring recruitment because not all houses go through spring recruitment and during fall recruitment there are more girls to choose from. Hope this helps!

There are all ages of people going through recruitment. I know someone who went through at 24 and she got a great sorority.
