joining a frat as exchange student?

i'm a Swedish student and i'm planning on doing an exchange year at SJSU tp study economics (undergrad). I really want to get most of the "college experience" and therefor I feel like I want to join a frat, and also make a lot of friends in the process. Do frats like discriminate against international/exchange student since they're only gonna be there for a year or do they have better chances since it ads diversity and is a little special or do international/exchange students have the same chances (and rush) as everybody else?
