rushing 2nd semester as a transfer student

I'm considering rushing 2nd semester because I want to use my 1st semester to adjust to student life at UK and establish my GPA. Would it be weird rushing a fraternity as sophomore transfer student?

nope, sometimes the spring classes are a weirder crowd but no one is going to put it against you for being older. I had a junior and multiple sophomores in my pledge class.
