I agree with the answer above this, but at the same time if you aren't the prettiest girl in the world but you dress nicely and have your hair done and make up done nicely; then you have good presentation. How you present yourself (not necessarily how pretty you are) can also help a lot during recruitment.

your "first" impression starts WAY before recruitment when they look at all the information they can find out about on on social media. Looks are definitely important but the image you put out there on what you do and how you act will absolutely override looks any day. No one wants just a pretty face. They want the whole package...great resume, classy girl, nice looking, involved, smart...you get the picture.
