fraternity rush appeal

by:

I'm planning to transfer to UK. I really want to rush a fraternity but I need a 2.5 gpa. If I don't have it, then I can appeal to rush by writing a paper. Does anybody know how often the appeal process works out?

Dude, if you don't have a 2.5 you don't need to be rushing a frat. GPA requirements are there for a reason. Get your GPA up then rush.

Is an appeal even something you can do??? I don't think so.

yes you can appeal but your appeal will fail unless you have a really good reason for that sub 2.5 GPA

What would consider as a reason for the sub 2.5 GPA?

If you don't have a 2.5 as a non-greek, you sure as hell won't be able to do it as a pledge. Pledging takea up a lot of time and if you don't have the required GPA, you can't initiate anyway

Well my GPA from my old school won't transfer over so I'll start out without one. But I still got 2 weeks till school is over so I'll work on getting my GPA up to a 2.5 or higher. If I don't get it up to 2.5, I'll just write my appeal.

Appeals never work. Took almost 2 years for us to give a kid a bid because of his grades. Get em up.

If you do get that appeal worked out you'll need to be pretty impressive in other areas. Most chapters have a minimum GPA requirement that is only bypassed for outstanding recruits.
