Yeah they're new but everyone has to start off somewhere. It's not like theta and tri delta have always been top tier. It changes year by year based on rush and grades and everything. A phi already has gained some respect and they should be grateful for that. If they don't want up be ranked yet then you could just as easily say they shouldn't participate in Greek events because if they lose it's because they're knew. All sororities had to start off somewhere and at least the only place they have to go is up. That being said, I think a phi and phi mu will have successful rushes and hopefully move up the ladder.

Alright ladies, there is way too much bashing going on here. All of the sororities at UK are great, the only reason people are posting otherwise is to improve their own sororities ranking. We are all members of the Greek system, so lets build each other up, not tear each other down. PNMs should know not to pay attention to anything negative they read here because its probably not true. Lets keep things positive and classy.

There is a lot of hate, and obviously you cannot trust any rating that is all 1's or all 5's, but much of what is said has some truth to it. PNMs have to base their decision off of just a few days of rush and don't really have a way to learn of the sorority's reputation or expectations. These reviews can be helpful. With that said, there is no reason to bash any sororities because they are all good, just on different ways.

PNM's you will need to have a thick skin throughout this intense week called"recrutiment" It is really ashame that some groups cut girls solely based on looks, grades and family money. You might miss out on a fantastic girl who could value and class to your organization. Remember not to feel bad about yourself or think any less of yourself just because you don't meet someone's set criteria. Hold your head high ... if it's meant to be it will work out. Sometimes what starts as a disappointment turns into a blessing :)

re: thick skin
How true several years ago when I was a PNM it didn't work out as I planned but I joined a chapter that really wanted me. It was a great situation and those girls are some of the best friends I have. My roommate actually got the one she thought she wanted and after she joined realized it was not for her. She dropped out and hangs out with us.
