I am also a transfer (coming from University of Georgia) and am going to be a sophomore. I had some health problems my first semester and was in the hospital a lot, so I wasn't able to keep up with some of my classes. I brought my GPA up this past semester and got all A's and I now have a 2.8. In high school I had nearly a 4.0 and mostly A's and scored high on the SAT. I'm just wondering if the sororities that require high GPA's will be understanding of this?

don't let low GPAs discourage you from doing recruitment! GPA is not all that is looked at like "PNM" said below if you have a circumstance that made your gpa low than you can explain this to panhellenic! Send the dean of greek affairs an email after you sign up for recruitment. Or when you're assigned a gamma chi let her know! Good luck!

Girls on here are just being petty and childish on here. Top tiers are raving about themselves and how fun they are, however my friend in a top tier and she admitted to being jealous of my middle tier sorority. Why? Because her "sisters" have left her drunk and alone at countless fraternity parties, talk about her behind her back, and stolen her dates at date parties. How fun does that sisterhood sound PNM's? Read the previous "top tier" comments for yourself and think about if that's what you want to represent. All this site is, is self ranking, people need to get over themselves. PNMS I'm going to be blunt. With 3 great years of sorority experience I've learned that it doesn't matter what sorority you join, if you're hot, guys will like you. End of story. Plus you'll be going to all those date parties as those frat boys dates rather than just being paired with them ;) honestly I like being the date better than being in the paired sorority. Then the guy clearly wants you there!
