Wedges are definitely a better option over heels! If you are worried about your feet hurting though I'd bring flip flops to walk to the houses. I was one of the girls who had to get to Pi Phi from KKG in 15 minutes. You don't want to be wearing wedges for that.

That's a bit harsh, but true. One of my friends is the Phi Mu membership/recruitment chair, and she told me that she has never been to a fraternity party at UK. Bless her heart, though. Phi Mu is going to have a tough time going through with formal recruitment this year.

I wasn't lying, but it's your choice to believe it or not. She also told me she had no desire to go to one, so in her opinion she wasn't missing out. In my opinion, she was, but we'll just leave it at that. Besides, I never really heard much about Phi Mu doing stuff with fraternities. They may have actually done stuff with fraternities, but if they did, it was never really talked about. I'm not saying Phi Mu is a bad chapter or that joining Phi Mu is a mistake. I'm saying it's a different experience that's not going to be a typical sorority experience at UK. If you go Phi Mu at recruitment, you're not going to have the luxury of having your own house (they are currently living in Sigma Nu's), you're not going to have the same number of opportunities to go to date parties as the girls in the middle and upper tier chapters do, and you're constantly going to be playing "catch up" to fit in with the rest of the Greek community. I respect Phi Mu, but they are not an established chapter yet.
