what does it mean?

When did greek life become about who throws the best parties. Who is the best on campus, and who has the most attractive people? Ask yourself, why did you join your sorority/fraternity. Did you join for the social and party scene? If you did, you joined for the wrong reasons. Greek organizations are for us to gain a brotherhood or sisterhood, to gain relations that will effect us for the rest of our lives. A great greek organization isn't one where every member is the exact same. Its one where the bonds within the group are unbreakable where every member has the organizations best in mind. Having the biggest house on campus is great, but what are the odds you know every single one of your fellow members and could go to them for anything. Our greek system today is shaky. Why is the focus today on popularity when the true meaning of fraternity is brotherhood. I urge you to focus less on what other orgs think, and focus on better bonds within your house. I am not saying that your house has to be best friends with every other house. Just respect that everyone is in the organization they belong.
