what to wear

I'm going to be rushing here soon and I'm just curious as to what attire is most appropriate. No one wants to be the only overdressed guy in the room. So is khakis with a blazer typical rush wear? Or is a button up with possible tie more appropriate at first? Also, shorts? Or pants all the time, for formality.
