Yes, I would say that being valedictorian will help increase your chances of getting a bid...somewhere. BUT it's not the be-all/end-all of sorority selection. Chapters are looking for the entire package, not just being the smartest in your class. Plus, being valedictorian of say, a graduating class of 10 from a school in the middle of no-where doesn't carry as much weight as valedictorian of a class of 700 from a more metropolitan area. So while the answer is probably a "yes"...it could also be a "no" depending on what school you went to.

Really can't imagine that many valedictorians at UK other than the aforementioned classes of 10
