gpa

by:

Alright, I am beyond terrified after reading some of these posts about high school gpa and getting into a sorority. I have a 2.97. Are some of the better houses (even middle teir) going to cut me because of that after just the open house round?

No that person is dumb. They really do require that 3.0 exactly

yes. the 3.0 is accurate. Many cut girls below the 3.0 after the first round. You may be better off getting good grades the first semester and then do COB in the spring.

okay I'm a sophomore and will have around a 3.1 GPA. Im really nervous that not many houses will consider me because this is sort of low. Do i have a chance/have any girls on this site been taken by a middle/higher tier sorority as a sophomore with a 3.0 college GPA? HELP! please and thank you.

I can't speak for every sorority, but if you have less than a 3.2 it's very unlikely we ask you back after open house unless you're really really awesome in other aspects. And usually for sophomores we don't ask you back without a 3.5.

can anyone else in a sorority speak on this matter above? Does your sorority do the same thing, not ask sophomores back if they don't have a 3.5 or what?

I think you are going to be fine at most houses. a 3.1 college GPA is pretty good.

By: probably ok..
