fall rush

How difficult is it to get a bid for a sorority? Is it a good idea to get letters of recommendation before going through recruitment? Thanks!

Letters of Rec are not necessary, you'll be fine without them and you have a good chance. Just go in there open minded and you'll find where you belong.

I know my sorority in particular which is considered a "top tier house" by the stuff on here didn't take any girls who didn't have at least one rec. they're not a must but its nice so girls know who you are before recruitment

At what point during rush should I submit my letters of recommendation?

UK rush is not that competitive. Not like big, popular SEC schools. You'll be fine.

If you think it's not competitive then you've never been through it or you just got lucky. Too tier houses cut a thousand girls

I would recommend getting recs and sending them before rush. There are over a thousand girls go through and if a sorority hears your name before rush you are at an advantage (especially if you are out of state or not many people from your high school or area come to uk)
