fraternities competitive for guys?

I am more than likely going to be a freshman here next year and for sure want to go Greek. I feel like I would have no problem getting a bid form any of the fraternities so I'm not too worried. I was wondering if the greek system here is competitive for guys? Some girls I know here says it is for the girls, but not as much for us men.
