Do sororities take up a lot of time

How much of a time commitment is sororities? Is it possible to be pre med, work part time, and be in a sorority? What happens if I have to miss events or meetings due to school or work?

Big time commitment. It’s possible but you will be very busy. You can get excused from events for tests but you will get fined for missing events for most other reasons

some take more than others.... it's a good question to ask during rush

Yes you can get fines for missing events, you can be banned from doing some fun events like formals, and you also you be put in front on your honor board if you miss too much. However many do it with balancing good grades in hard programs, sorority life, and flexible jobs.
