useful ranking

Everyone gets so concerned over the exact order, but among a group of those at the top there isn't really a conclusive way to rank them, it's all about personal preference.
Depending on what you are looking for, these fraternities could be the best for what you are looking for:
Sigma Chi
Delt
Phi Delt
Kappa Sig
ATO
Delta Sig
Beta
KA
If you legitimately looked at every fraternity and could get into any of them, you would end up at one of those. Assuming you couldn't get into the one you wanted out of that group, you would likely end up in one of these:
SAE
Theta Chi
Farmhouse
PIKE
Phi Sig
FIJI
Triangle
And then if you couldn't get into those, you would end up at one of these:
Pi Kapp
Sig Ep
Phi Tau
Phi Psi
Delta Upsilon
AGR
Sigma Nu

^^^ These guys are right. A different kind of guy goes out to KA that goes out to Sigma Chi. It's reasonable to say that there are guys that go through rush, see both and pick KA or that pick Sigma Chi. This post is meant to show that just because a fraternity is top tier doesn't mean it's the best fit for everyone. If it was, what's the point of having more than one fraternity?

I also think this a good post. They aren't trying to rank the chapters by tiers. They are just showing which ones are more selective. Which they did a good job of.
