What PNMs need to know

Dear PNMs,
Before you go into sorority recruitment, you need to know a couple of things:
1. This year recruitment will be weird for you, but also for those of us in chapters. We will get through it together.
2. Don't buy into stereotypes. Every chapter has nerds, weirdos, cool girls, party girls, and church girls. It's just the truth. This includes rumors you heard and rumors on the internet.
3. Don't be fake. Be yourself. It's gonna be hard to be fake for four years.
4. Listen to your Gamma Chi. She has been through the process and knows the ups and downs. Listen to her advice.
5. Keep an open mind. If you are looking for sisterhood, forget about rank. Go where you are accepted and you will have a wonderful experience.
6. Know that there will be drama. There will be drama in recruitment and drama when you join. When you put 250 - 300 women together, it's just gonna happen. Find your squad.
7. You don't have to join the same house as your best friend, your sister, your twin, etc. Plenty of us have close friendships with women who are not in our chapter.
8. If you get released from a house you love, know it is not the end of the world. This happens to nearly everyone during the process. Continue with the process and don't give up.
9. Get to know us. Don't be afraid to ask questions. We love to talk about ourselves, our sisters, and our experiences.
