phi mu
by: ukI heard Phi Mu is getting their house taken away because they couldn't even meet quota by half...is this true?
#13by: Not true
Mizzou had the biggest recruitment in the country this year and has the biggest Greek life right behind Alabama. And they aren't that great in the south either. UNC, USC, Florida, ole miss, and Arkansas they aren't top tier either. It's one thing to say that they're good at one school but don't try and brag that they are good at all schools. It's no indication of how they will do in the future.

The rumor about the house is not true at all. We normally don't address these type of rumors but I feel like it needs to go on record: Phi Mu got confirmation to break ground in November on Rose Lane (next to Farmhouse.) The reason it's taken so long has nothing to do with recruitment. There have been a lot of conflicts with the university and the company building the house. Nationals has signed on to build the house, and has never for a minute tried to change that. The rumors about losing the house are by girls in well-established sororities who feel threatened by the progress Phi Mu has made in just 3 years. And to address the recruitment issue: Phi Mu does COB more than other chapters so they can get to know their girls better. Phi Mu sorta has a reputation of being the "left-overs" and are trying to change that. Which is why they took such a small pledge class. They actually had OVER quota and had a lot of cutting to do. and when it came down to it on pref night, they decided to emphasize quality over quantity. And I think some sororities need to take a lesson from that instead of focusing on numbers. Sisterhood is what being greek is about. Not who has the best house or pledge class.

Take it from someone who actually knows what they're talking about, unlike most of you who keep spewing rumors and hate. Sigma Nu owns the house. Phi Mu was renting it because as a new sorority on campus they didn't have a house at the time. Sigma Nu took it back. It's not their fault and it's not Phi Mu's fault. It has absolutely nothing to do with meeting quota, I don't even know where y'all got that from. They had enough girls signed up to fill the house next year before this happened. Please stop the drama.

I agree with Woman Up. Too many whiny babies in this discussion.
