cob gphi

I heard that gamma phi beta was the only sorority doing fall cob this year if they dont meet quota. has anyone else heard this or know anything about it ?

gamma phi beta is doing their own recruitment and every sorority that doesn't meet quota will do COB. it's too early to know who will do COB this year but the past few years these sororities have consistently: agd, phi mu, a chi o, alpha phi, and dz

every sorority on campus is required to do COB, it isn't anyone specific

The only chapters that do COB are ones that struggle to keep their members or gain them in the first place. They do COB brcause without it their members have to pay extra money to keep their house & chapter active.

Examples of chapters who always do COB (not s good thing): Alpha Phi, Alpha Gamma Delta, Phi Mu, Kappa Delta, Alpha chi omega.

This is straight up wrong. You only are even allowed to participate in COB if you are below quota.

COB isnt always a negative thing. It becomes negative when sororities COB to take anyone/anything they can get. Some chapters COB to fill spots of girls that are studying abroad which opens opportunities for more girls who will be active to join a chapter. It also means the sorority is getting more money throughout the year (which is good) to hold better events and whatnot
