Well if YOU want to rush, go for it! Who cares what your friends think. If you don't, just tell your parents. I will say that I wish I did rush as an incoming freshman. You should be fine with engineering if you manage your time properly. This is about your college life, not your parents' or friends'. Good luck with whatever you choose! :)

I would at least rush. Even if you don't seem like the stereotypical greek, there is always a fraternity/sorority out there for everyone. You'll very rarely find someone who is involved in greek life that doesn't like it

If you rush and decide it's not for you then at least you know that it wasn't something you wanted to do. If you don't rush you could wish that you had later

i would join Pi Kappa Phi Great brotherhood and always there for each other. i know the president of the frat and is a great guy! i would def consider checking them out as well!

pretty sure this person is a girl, so they wouldn't be interested in a fraternity. that said, if you are a guy definitely don't go to triangle or pi kappa phi. Neither is a real fraternity

I think you should definitely rush! What do you have to lose? and if you don't like it then at least you tried. Trust me everyone I know that did not join a sorority or fraternity the fall of their freshman year all regretted it and signed up for spring recruitment or waited until their sophomore year. Its a great way to get involved and their is a sorority or fraternity for everyone. Its a great experience and a good way to start out college

Greek life is certainly fun at UK. It's not like some other SEC schools, but still fun.
