why is dg irrelevant

I overheard a group of girls at orientation talking about how DG is becoming more and more irrelevant, why is that

They don't really care to participate in other sororities/fraternities events and just don't really recruit top girls anymore

They used to be pushing top tier like aphi and pi phi, but this past year they've had the worst social presence on campus (in my opinion) and have had terrible pairs. They pair with bottom and middle tier frats while the sororities that they used to be similar to are pairing with top frats. They do have a good recruitment though and tend to get good girls but it sucks they just don't do anything anymore
