cussing social media cleanup for pnm
by: PNM cussingIm a PNM who will be rushing this fall. I occasionally use the F word on my Facebook , twitter and instagram. Ive been told to go back and delete anything where i used the F word. I really dont have time and dont feel it's necessary....but will if i have to. Should i go back and delete my posts that have cussing?

I would do it, even if I weren't going through recruitment. Clean social media is important for professional reasons as it proves that you know how to present yourself in the most flattering light possible. Job recruiters, as well as sorority recruiters, will look at this and will make an impression of you based on it. The truth of the matter is, swearing and racy pictures and the like do not help promote a positive image. If you don't want to delete it all, because I totally get that cleaning up social media can take a long time, just delete recent stuff (within the past two years or so).
