They weren't shut down. Nationals put them financial ruin and then refused to bail them out, even though it was Nationals fault in the first place. So the chapter decided to pull their own charter since Nationals wouldn't help. Nationals also refused their request to refurbish their house, which was literally falling apart in some places.

Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority at University of Kentucky - UK 3.0 One of my best friends is in this chapter. She's amazing and I doubt she would ever join a sorority that didn't have amazing women in there. There are always gonna be things that chapters aren't proud of but we shouldn't keep penalizing them based on past judgments.

Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority at University of Kentucky - UK 3.0 Can someone please rationally explain why these girls are so hated? Obviously, they're not you're typical sorority girls but they still felt a need to join an organization that was bigger than them. Just because they're not all skinny white girls doesn't mean they're any less of a sorority.
