I agree with this as this is our recent experience with this chapter as well. Please message nationals as we have to let them know we want change. ADPi either needs to change their position and not provide any consideration for legacies at all or enforce the use of valid criteria and values when making decisions.

Agreed! My daughter was cut by this chapter! Ended my donations and rec's. For 30 plus years I wrote recs and every girl pledged, until my daughter! No longer cheerleader for this chapter!

Everything written here is true, sadly. I am mortified that the sorority that I loved so much, that was my whole world while I was in school, has turned into such a mean, petty, arrogant and competitive place. It's a shame. It really is.

First of all,I have a hard time believing that you all are really moms of legacies! Everyone knows this site is full of false information and self ranks by mean girls. So,if you're a "mom" on this site,I'm embarrassed you're even on here and think it's a "real" forum for Greek conversations. But,if in the slim chance you are actually an alum,I'm here to tell you your information is completely false! ADPi has TONS of legacies just look at their group legacy picture. More than most chapters at UK. Guarantee your daughter received preference but they can't take all of them. There are plenty who get in because their moms were legacies and everyone knows who they are because they don't match the rest of the chapter. This happens in everyone sorority at UK and people know who those legacies are.Would you really want your daughter in a sorority just because you were in it if she didn't fit in there? Most of the legacies had sisters in their sorority because the chapters are still similar after a few years- not moms who were here years ago. My mom was in different sorority here and NEVER expected me to join hers. She just wanted me to find a place that was a good fit for me,not her. That's weird! After 25 years, the chapters change too much and may be completely different than when you were in the chapter.You should want your daughter to be with girls she feels comfortable with, not a home where rushing was akward for her and the chapter. My mom would never wish that for me.

ADPi is one of the hardest sororities to get into on this campus, and if every girl who had their mommy or grandma join 30+ years ago got a bid, then it would be easy to get a bid. ADPi has the great reputation they have on this campus because they are so selective and care about more than a legacy title. That's what makes them great. Chances are, your daughter didn't have good enough grades or wasn't involved enough. Just because you were ADPi material years ago at some school doesn't automatically make her ADPi material here. Tough to hear, but get over it. Nobody cares about legacies anymore.

I swear you just showed everyone everything they were saying about adpi was correct. IF that was actually an alum I'm sorry. You should never speak like that to someone who has donated to your chapter for years. WHY do legacies matter? Because their parents or grandparents are the ones who have donated years after they were done with college. If you don't have that foundation then it will pretty much crumble and you will get less and less money. I can not believe that anyone would ever talk to an alum the way you just did... but you also prove that everything bad thing site says about adpi is true. Be a little humble and a lot more respect.
