University of Kentucky - UK Greek Life Reviews

I am so disappointed in this school's greek life. Coming from the south, I figured that even if this is one of the northernmost states that it would still have decent greek life. But it is horrible. Low involvement apart from one big event (Greek Sing) - all the other "involvement" the groups participate in are laughable. The girls are all catty and competitive; nearly every sorority I've encountered is obsessed with their image and "rank" (looking at this school's discussion page will prove that). There are plenty of trashy girls who love to go and make fools of themselves on the weekend though (some in their letters even - SHAMEFUL). I gave this school a chance, but it was only two years of sorority before I could not take any more. If you're on the fence, don't bother.

panhellenic is singlehandedly ruining all greek like at UK. making ridiculous rules and changes that do nothing but hinder the experience of actives. i feel bad for PNMs coming here in the hopes of experiencing SEC greek life cuz it’s a joke here. don’t waste your time or money trying to deal with panhellenics absurd rules.

GOOD ASS GREEK LIFE

I hear about hazing all the time from sororities and frats. You can’t deny that UK has a massive Greek life on campus. It can be a good thing and it can be bad. The majority of Greek life are stuck up and think their daddy can pay for everything. But that isn’t all of them. It’s hard to find a group that won’t be that way.

No hazing for girls, guys get hazed but to different extents. Overall, there's a place for everyone with some awesome Greek wide events over the span of the year.

Greek life is pretty big at UK but very competitive to get into! A great group of people are involved and overall is well respected!
