Question: rec letter

by: DAC10

I've got people lined up for rec letters for all chapters except adpi (and the one who doesn't accept them). I attend a private prep school in the midwest and adpi isn't big in our area. Only one of the 2 state schools has them as a chapter and it only a few years old. I hear rec letters aren't needed, but if I submit to one I prefer to submit to all (except the one that doesn't accept them). No one in my area seems to know ppl in that sorority and I'm not from a family with greek affiliation. Thoughts?

Samford rush is more brutal than advertised. I don’t think recs matter, social skills or leadership. I have not figured out the formula because Alumni input doesn’t matter either. Expect the unexpected and there’s a big pastor religious network that goes on as well.

I didn't submit any rec letters and got asked back to 3 houses for sisterhood and two houses for pref. I also got the sorority I really wanted. I think you will be fine! Rush at Samford can be stressful but if you are yourself you will end up where you are supposed to be! Ignore the stereotypes people tell you and just enter it open minded and do your best to present yourself well! You'll be fine (:

Girls are not guaranteed a bid. If a girl is rude or has a bad attitude at a house, she will be cut and could possibly end up without a bid. It happens.
