passport at sam experiences
by: Pnm LSo I had my orientation this past weekend and was really interested in going Greek. I wanted to go in with an open mind but after this weekend I just can’t. I was literally ignored by 2 sororities and treated like I wasn’t good enough. I was talking to this one girl and than she turned to talk to this other girl while we were talking and totally just blew me off and this happened twice! I was having a convo with zeta and she totally was looking away from me and not really engaging and axo and tri sig both blew me off for other girls coming up to them. Aoii and adpi literally were the only ones that acted like they cared about talking to me which makes me sad because I feel like I only fit in to one of those. Did anyone else have a good experience?

I’d highly suggest giving the girls another chance, passport generally gets overwhelming for most people considering the administration gives us limited space and puts a cap on the number of people you can have tabling. Getting in contact with the chapters to speak with them on a more personal level generally yields better results.

When I went to passport as a freshman I actually went up to the sorority I am currently in. The girls that they had there made me feel dumb for asking questions and then also blew me off. I went through recruitment and then ended up loving that house! Don’t let that get you down. It gets really stressful and sometimes girls can come off rude when they don’t mean to.
