This school is not meant for Greek life. We’re practically a small highschool. We don’t have a row, rush is only a weekend. Don’t lie to yourselves and say it’s good.

greek life at shu is actually really intense. for girls its a huge weekend that practically every girl goes to. not everyone goes thru with it in the end, but everyone tries and makes friends thru it even if they drop

Although Sacred heart doesn't have Greek row or Greek housing there is still a large social scene when it comes to Greek life because instead of having one house for one frat that's owned by the school, the upperclassmen of one frat usually end up living together off campus anyways creating a "Frat house". Although there might be cops and public safety to shy down these parties it's kind of a good system because it's not a real frat house not all of the guys live there so there's multiple "frat houses" for each frat, meaning that if one party is shut down there's usually one more close by.

I think about 1 in 3 SHU students are in Greek life at shu so I think for a small northern school that's pretty good. Hazing is more common in the fraternities and doesn't happen at all in the sororities, but it's nothing crazy likebyou hear about at other schools. This year was very selective for Greek life because there is simply not enough spots for everybody who wants to join. I think we easily could've taken on two new sororities this year instead of just the one. Greeks are involved in everything on campus and contribute to 85% of the schools documented community service. Social life is good because even though there is no "fraternity row" they live off campus and have houses/parties which is fun. Attractiveness depends on the individual organization but overall I'd say most sororities are good looking and same with fraternities
