Need advice thanks

I’m in a pickle right now. Problem is I’m tHe polar opposite of my dad. I get my strong alpha genes from my moms side, don’t mean to sound narcissistic but that is really the case. My dad is a little wimp who never played sports, gets frightened at even the thought of physical things. Anyway he doesn’t want me joining a frat because he thinks it’s so called too dangerous of a lifestyle. What do I tell him, how can I make him understand without disrespecting him?

Get a job, pay the dues yourself. He shouldn’t have much say in that then. Your life not his. Keep your grades up. Join a frat that you can take mom and dad to on family day.
