Lower Mid Tiers at Ru

No particular frat is the “go to”. Each lower middle tier has something to offer. Sammy has a few weird kids, but all of them are nice. Most of those weird kids are graduating soon anyway, and they are on rise because they’ve worked on social and relations. But it’s your choice if you like them or not. Alpha sig, PKT and Sae all have things going for them. Go check them all out if you want, and rush all over the place, maybe at Dphi, Pikapp and Theta Chi and some others.

If you like the brothers, that’s what you have going for them. Sae has its dages, and PKT and Alpha sig both have houses for alumni to come back to, with good alumni relations.

I think out of all the lower tiers SAMMY is on the rise for sure. Just as someone else has mentioned, they worked hard on their relations and social ties and its being noticed. To the 2nd part of your post, they had this notion of being the "nerdy" frat initially but I feel that is completely untrue today. Few of those kids are prob still there, if not gone completely. In my opinion, they def have the making of becoming a solid mid or upper-mid in the next few sems, since their pledge classes have been getting better.
With that being said, you should rush the fraternity you vibe with the most. The brothers are more important than ties, since you can always improve them (like SAMMY) once you are in the fraternity. The brotherhood, is ultimately why you are there at the end of the day.

That’s a fact, the while point of a fraternity is the brotherhood. That’s why you’re there. You can work on anything, but if you don’t like the brothers, your experience will always be bad. And yes, Sammy has been doing well recently, as well as a few others too. It’s good to rush wherever you can, so keep an open mind.

Definitely check out everyone you can. I definitely recommend SAMMY and SAE. SAMMY & SAE r the mid-tiers that r improving, SAMMY a bit more imo. But like one other post said, each frat great in their own way (SAE for dages, ect). Join the one you fit in the best at. A great wayto figure this out early on is to DM their IG's and ask questions.
