Calling on all my fellow greeks

by: hmm

I’ve been seeing alot of posts on here about how everyone should bow down to ofsa and Dean A. As a senior whos had a long career in greeklife i have to say 1) ofsa is put in place simply to protect the schools image and could care less about any of us 2) We are all adults and can be accountable for our own actions 3) the only authority anyone should follow is the law and thats it 4) Rutgers is systematically trying to get rid of Greek Life 5) Life would be so much better if we all just disaffiliated from OFSA.

Lastly,
College is short so enjoy your time here while you can. We’re all spending serious bread to go here, so why should we let someone else ruin our experience.

I feel like if we disaffiliate from ofsa then we assume all of the liability, which is ok if we never have an alcohol poisoning or death related incident at a party again but then I feel like even if incidents happen outside of a party they’ll find a way to blame the frats still. This is a really tough situation. Maybe we can think of other ways to protest?

I guess we could try to think of alternatives. But if frats get to own houses, and then disaffiliated, nothing could be done by the OFSA. And even if we don’t, OFSA will still dump 100% of the blame onto us.

this makes 0 sense. we take all liability 100 percent as is. OFSA provides literally 0 benefit to us. it only harms us. it’s there to benefit the school by kicking off and disciplining orgs that threaten rutgers reputation.

look at DKE they don’t have to listen to ofsa AT ALL. and they function just fine. if everyone did that, then the sororities wouldn’t be able to blacklist anyone for official events (like they do to DKE). and we would be able to govern ourselves without useless bureaucrats like Dean A sticking their noses into our business
