phi sig’s philanthropy is a scam

Omg this is clearly not someone in Greek Life lol you are very uninformed. A sorority’s philanthropy being a foundation named after their national philanthropy doesn’t mean they picket the money! Just allows you to work with more foundations and raise money for more causes :) For example one of SDT’s philanthropies is the SDT Foundation. This is such a common thing!

For the person mentioning the sdt foundation they still have 2 other philanthropies that they work with so not the same as your only philanthropy being your own sorority, the sdt foundation itself is just to give scholarships to a few sisters nationaly who can't afford being in a sorority not the same as using it for recruitment lol

Yes, all national sororities have foundations, but the difference is listing your foundation as a philanthropy. The other national sororities make this distinction and the two entities are completely separate, so when you support a sorority's philanthropy, you are giving directly to that cause instead of going through their foundation and you know where all your money's going. Foundation gifts go to the sorority and it's their discretion how to use it. Though SDT does have 4 different philanthropies that can be directly supported. Phi Sig does not.

Idk but I am pretty sure their philanthropy is the kids in need foundation because I went to their house for philanthropy round and we made these backpacks for elementary schools n they talked about like going to haiti or something but also in the beginning of the year though I bought a shirt from phi sig girls in the dorms and they said it was for the same thing so

We are talking about YOUR national philanthropy, Phi Sig, not others' philanthropies. Anyone can google it. Your foundation supports you. Fact. Bad look, especially compared to the other sororities that support actual needy communities.

Embrace Kids Foundation is Rutgers' Dance Marathon philanthropy, not Phi Sig's. And Phi Sig's actual national support of Kids in Need is a joke. From that website: $8,000 of school supplies donated in 2018. WTF??? That's it???

The more you know the more they will pay to have deleted...

Most of that money went to dance marathon, and phi sig requires members to raise a certain amount of money or get fined/face other sanctions from standards. Yeah it’s great that they raise money for DM but so does every other org in the Greek community on top of their philanthropy. Don’t act like phi sig is all high and mighty when their main philanthropy is their own foundation.
