rushing as a junior?

I didn't go through formal recruitment this year and I'm already regretting it. I would rather do formal next spring than informal, since chapters don't take a lot of girls in the fall but I'll be a junior. Will sororities really not take girls just because they're juniors? I've asked some friends in different sororities and they say they don't pay much attention to class rank but I've heard that they do!

some sororities definitely accept juniors more than others. if you wanna be in a top tier sorority, you're gonna have to either make friends with the girls or really impress the girls during recruitment
