is it hard getting a bid?

Went out to some rush events this fall (Im a freshman) just to check it out. Thought the guys at Sigma Chi, Theta Chi, and Phi Delt in particular were really chill.
How hard is it to get a bid from these places? Is there something they look for in particular or is just how well you mesh with them?
