Bottom tier with Theta Phi and Sigma Kappa. They were considered a newer chapter but it’s been enough years where they never grew out of that reputation. Take notes on what not to do Sima Kappa chapter. They got a new house like 6 years ago on brown street which helped them with their status but wasn’t enough. I'm sure you still have to be in exec to live in house at kd. Girl Scouts isn’t just the philanthropy but very much Girl Scout vibe personalities of the girls in this chapter. They match in having a social with Beta Theta Pi every year which is know as a bottom frat house in campus, but hey at least they have socials with frats every year unlike Theta Phi. A lot of girls take this chapter as a last resort during recruitment that girls are still happy sticking with all four years.

Definitely a bottom tier chapter in campus but only because they’re so new on campus, I can see them having the potential to become middle tier if they keep growing on campus. The outside of their house is pretty ugly although new inside, hopefully they get a better house or do a face lift to the exterior. I believe only their exec board lives in house. Not everyone in their exec board gets along which sounds like a nightmare. Their first year or few they did really bad in recruitment but the girls are mid to pretty and are super out going. They have a great philanthropy. Not sure if they made much movement with matching with any frats for socials.

Middle Tier with Pi Beta Phi. The inside of the house is absolutely STUNNING honey. I wish they did house tours during recruitment like other schools. You don’t have to be on the exec board to live in house and is definitely a newer house paid by their nationals office and is super nice. Definitely the chapter with the most involved philanthropy between matching with the 4paws club to fundraiser through having students come pet puppies which was always someone on the outside loved and looked forward to every year and every other year or so they do their big flyer in campus event which is huge amongst the Greek community. They use to match with Sigma Mu all the time before that chapter got kicked off campus. Still has good socials and aren’t as difficult to attend unlike Pi Phi. They do well in recruitment every since they have high visibility on campus from their philanthropy which is great. It’s definitely a chapter most girls have as their number one going into recruitment and I can very easily see why, they have everything a girl can want in a sorority.

I was in this house and regret not dropping out my senior year. So many girls drop this house. Girls join it as a last resort but cannot fathom sticking it out past bid day/ new member process because the experience in this house isn’t worth it. This sorority mixed one year with Beta Theta Pi like six years ago and that was probably their only mixer with an IFC frat in its chapter history. Most girls go through the recruitment process as pnms hoping to join sororities to make friends. to live in house and to mix with IFC frats. At least I did and none of that happened for me. None of the frats mix with this house not only because of it’s reputation of being a bottom house but also because there aren’t a ton of girls in this house throwing off the girls to guys ratio and also none of them being conventionally attractive. NPC socials are suppose to hold mixers with other IFC frats every year which does not happen in this house. They already had the reputation of most pnms being confused if this was a social interest NPC without any other interest affiliations, if they’re doing mixers with other councils that’s great to get some more mixers under their belt but it will likely further this reputation and cause the chapter to continue to struggle with recruitment. The girls in this house can be *****y, cold, and awkward to interact with. They def put a front up in their recruitment process. Kappa Delta and Sigma Kappa have the excuse of being newer houses on campus having to establish themselves within the last decade and also being a recognizable national sorority name, but Theta Phi is the second oldest sorority chapter on campus, doesn’t have that national chapter name, and struggle with numbers they will always be infinitely doing COB as their main source of recruitment, they get more members through the informal process than the formal process which isn’t standard, and isn’t healthy for a chapter’s numbers and sustainability. Not sure how they’ve still managed to maintain their presence on campus. They will eventually be kicked off campus based on their lack of membership. Exec isn’t required to live in house anymore which is one of the few redeemable qualities of this chapter so more opportunity to live in house if you want to, unlike APhi, Pi Phi, Sigma Kappa, and Kappa Deltas. And you can get leadership experience without having to be forced live in house if you don’t want to.
