Who cares about sisterhood closeness? People who go through recruitment to make close friends and find 90 girls who have their back, as opposed to finding decent looking girls to have in their going out fb pictures. I'm proud to have a close sisterhood with the girls in my sorority, I have fun with them too, but we can just hang out at the house on a Tuesday and it's equally great

What do you guys think about Phi Mu not doing formal recruitment this fall? It should be good for pnms because quotas will presumably rise, since there will only be 9 chapters taking girls. Also because girls left with only PM usually drop out, so more girls should be end up matched to sororitys they want to join

rushing as a sophomore after dropping out of rush the year before will definitely hurt you. the sororities do remember you, and there's a pretty good chance that you will get dropped from the top five houses by skit night. as long as you can handle the rejection, and are OK with being in a 'lower-tier' house, you should try again. a lot of girls i know (myself included) who re-rushed ended up in DG, Gamma Phi, and AXO. These houses might not be top-tier, but if you're rushing for the right reasons, that shouldn't be important to you anyways.
