sorority comments

rushing sophomore year is fine. i did, and my group (all sophomores) and the only sorority that we didn't represent at the end was kappa (where a couple sophomores i knew ended up pledging). a handful of girls dropped, but most of the group was intact by the end. rush is half sophomores, and most sororities have pledge classes that are about 1/4th sophomore. it's harder to get in some places, but nowhere near impossible.

PBP, KKG, KAT, XO
the second choices:
DG, KD, DDD

Ratings are dumb. You'll find where you belong when you rush!

Reputation in order:
Pi Phi- Laid back, stoners, good rep
Kappa- Stuck up, pretty blondes. Good rep
Chi O- Imfamous for their hazing. Mean. Hot but not as hot as kappa
Theta- Weird mesh of girls who slipped through the cracks of the other top 3. Good rep.
KD- Try hards, sort of fake, good rep
Tridelt- Party harder than anyone else. Decent rep, but known for being crazy.
AXO- Laid back, involved, but not very pretty. Average rep.
DG- Mix of girls who wanted kappa but weren't pretty enough (preppy) and stoners
GPhi- considered very nice, but a little boring/wholesome
Phi Mu- Bottom tier by far. Nice girls but awkward and unnatractive

So there are several sororities that are basically the same with minor differences

Kappa/Chi O
Kappas are blonde and from the south, Chi O are brunette and tend to be from the North. Both are considered "mean" and "Stuck Up"

DG/Gphi
I know you're going to argue with me, but they're the same type of girl. The DGs just tend to party harder

Theta/KD
Both are smart/driven that care about their rep. Better looking goes to theta.

PiPhi/Tridelt
Both go crazy, just pi phi is more "hippie chick"

Tridelt/AXO
AXOs are a little more into their lives outside of their sorority and are a little less attractive than Tridelts. But the fall 11 pledge classes are equally as hot

Pretty spot on. I'd add...

kappa/chi o- kappas are more put together, and chi o parties harder. most of the both sororities are average or above, with a couple of above average girls thrown in.

dg/gphi- there are a couple really cute dgs, and they tend to be a little nicer. gamma phi is cohesive, doesn't have cliques like dg does.

theta/kd- theta parties harder along with being better looking(the only sorority as boring as kd is kappa), but kd has more variety. sometimes theta all feels like the same girl.

pi phi/tridelt- pi phi is super diverse and big on keeping the internal drama low; tridelt never seems to have internal drama anyway. both have a handful of super hot girls, but most are average.

tridelt/axo- alpha chi is the most sisterly of the "fratty" sororities. not the best looking, but they rage as hard as they bond.

anyone who is anyone can post on this site, airing their anger and jealousy or their pride. it doesn't reflect truth about the sororities at w&m, and it shouldn't be used by PNMs as a guide to the best sorority on campus. i feel so sad reading posts on this site, because i know that they don't show our sororities in the light that i know we would all want to be seen. so please, girls, think before you post or read! don't we want a strong panhel as well as strong sisterhoods? i know i do :)

chi o and beta are the best looking
theta and kappa sig are the bottom of the top
tridelt and lambo are the most chill
kd and kdr are the most diverse in personality/style
dg and dphi eclectic
axo and ka are the most laid back of the hard partiers
gamma phi and dx/ato
phi mu and tdx really enjoy one another's company
