I'm going to a freshman in the fall at the College and Im definitely rushing. I was wondering if KKG and theta drop girls after the first round and if being a legacy helps with getting a bid from either house

Yes, both houses drop after the first round, particularly Theta. Being a legacy helps but shouldn't be banked on.

Theta is notorious for dropping a large amount of girls, even during the last round. Being a legacy is a golden ticket though.

all sororities make a cut after first round so don;t go in banking on those two houses you'll probably change your mind after meeting them
