bids?

by: pnm

hi! I am a girl from the midwest, and w&m is one of my top choices! I am thinking about rushing and would love to be part of this, and I am just wondering how hard it is to get a bid? How many girls get left out each year? do they drop because they don't like their options or how many are released? thanks!

I definitely encourage you to rush at WM! Going greek was one of the best, most rewarding decisions I have made while at wm. Don't be worried about not getting a bid. Most girls who stick through the process will receive a bid...it's sort of rare to not get one. The best advice I could give you is to make sure you show interest in the chapters! Especially on the last round (pref night). The sisters want to see that you are as interested in them as they are in you--they want to make sure that if they give you a bid, you'll take it. Also, just be positive and be yourself!

Good luck!

Going greek was the best thing I did! I had no family members who went to college so I wasn't a legacy or anything. It is super rare that noone gets a bid. Just be yourself. All the sororities are great!!!

I believe only about 5-10% who rush a sorority don't get a bid
