you cant really say that your average perception of how good the brothers are is what seperates tiers and then say beta is arguably the best.while i agree they are top tier, of all their competing fraternities - pika, kappa sig, sig chi, and sig pi - they undoubtedly have the least cool members. The way they present themselves tries to be traditional fratty, but fraternities like pika, sig pi, and kappa sig would fit in much more at schools with traditional greek scenes. not to say beta isnt fratty, just to point out that its not the quality of their membership that puts them in the top tier.

It's not fair to count Ian Baine when assessing PiKA. Every frat has a few outliers that don't represent the whole

they both suck but i think KA sucks a little less. neither of them are or ever will be top tier, though both have a couple of guys who you have to wonder why didn't go top tier.

Why are some of the smaller fraternities getting such a bad rap?

SAE might not have a house, but they're nice guys and they've been pulling in decent pledge classes for a while now
